Forever Free

It’s easy to find a dark place,
To sit and to just be.
But what good would it be to you,
To drown yourself in your memories?
Sure remember the times,
When your heart was filled with love.
But if depression were to find you,
Would you be able to rise above?
Eventually you’ll realize,
That hope cannot be taken.
And I pray that when that day comes,
You leave your dark place forsaken.
Find the hope and love and trust,
In all you cannot see.
And try not to remind yourself,
Of the times when you would blatantly flee.
For darkness is always there,
Ready to swallow you whole.
To take you into his crutches,
And to concur your soul.
No need to feel ashamed,
It’s not your fault he came.
And I’m sure if he had not,
You would not think yourself insane.
But if you want to escape his hands,
It’s easy enough to do.
Look inside of yourself,
And remember all who love you.
So come out of the dark,
And straight into the light.
Let me help you in this time of need,
Together, we can make things right.
It may be hard at first,
To live your life out loud.
But once you find the beauty in all,
It’s like you’re floating on a cloud.
If you stop hiding from the hope,
And find peace within yourself..
When you decide to be untied from the ropes that bind you,
That is the moment you’ll be..
Absolutely Forever Free.
